Vice President of the Arizona BMW Z3 Roadster Club is Cheri Roberts, a native who was born and raised in north Phoenix. While growing up, her family made weekend road trips to all parts of the state, enjoying some of the same roads our club now travels for its outings.
Cheri's introduction to the club was not unique. She was parking her car when club member Chuck Taylor pulled up and asked if she enjoyed driving her Z. She said "of course" and Chuck gave her a card with the club website information and an invitation to an upcoming drive. Cheri made contact with club President Paul Ebeyer and joined the drive. Since then she has enjoyed many outings and now carries the club's introduction cards with her for when she meets other Z owners.
Cheri works in the construction industry developing commercial and residential properties. In the past she was an Engineer and Product Manager for Digital Equipment Corporation, residing in the Boston area for nine years. While working for DEC she traveled the U.S., Europe, and Asia , purchasing peripherals for the systems group. Cheri also lived in rural southwest Montana for 11 years while raising her daughter Birgitta. Ten years ago Cheri returned to Arizona to be closer to her family. But she still has the wanderlust that has taken her to new places in the past, and she's certain someday she'll live in another part of the country/world (as long as her beloved Z3 can go along).
Cheri feels that belonging to the Z club has greatly enhanced her enjoyment of owning her car, as well as providing a wealth of "assistance and input" from her fellow club members (gear heads).
