09/20/2014 - Lunch at Parks' home in Payson
We will be enjoying another home cooked extravaganza by Dan & Teresa Parks at their beautiful home in Payson. We will meet at the Target shopping center in Fountain Hills by the Starbucks coffee shop at 10:45 and we’ll depart at 11 sharp. They are expecting us at noon and it is about a 1 hour drive door to door. Please bring your club radio along. The Target shopping center is located right on Shea Blvd at Saguaro Blvd. Starbucks is down toward the west end of the parking lot. We will have quite a few cars in the caravan, so try to keep up and stay together.
Thanks to those of you who volunteered side dishes!
We will caravan together from Fountain Hills, North on Hwy 87 so if you stay with the group you will not have an issue finding the Park’s home. Just in case, here are the details
When you arrive in Payson near the Casino, you will continue north on 87 past Hwy 260 and continue north.
Turn east (right) on Houston Mesa Road (By Home Depot which will be on your left I believe this is the second traffic circle)
Go approximately 4.9 miles to Sunflower Drive just past Pyeatt Draw Road and turn left.
Second house.
Gate will be open.
If you are real desperate, here is their phone number, give them a call and they will steer you in. 928-474-8412
We need two couples to volunteer to drive up on Friday evening and stay in their two guest rooms. The purpose is to assist Dan & Teresa with setting everything up on Saturday morning. Alternatively, our volunteers can drive up real early on Saturday morning. Please send me an email if you will volunteer and let me know if you are going up on Friday evening or Saturday morning; I will forward the info to Teresa. If we get more than 2 volunteers we will select the first two who respond.
